Over the summer the Beauty Team organised a very successful, exclusive Dermalogica Skin Scanning evening – Kerry waxed Matt and Giselle live on Heart FM and the Stylist enjoyed a practical and theory day with Nicola from Matrix Educators, introducing their lasted colour palette, MATRIX MOCHA MOCHAS.
We’ve been listening too many of your concerns regarding certain chemicals in product and the effects it has on the skin. Taking this on board and doing a little research and testing, we’ve come up with products that are ammonia-free, sulphate-free, paraben and silicone- free and 99% Organic. Spring can now offering a range of natural/organic services and products for hair and skin; we have called it our ‘Natural Spring Collection’ and you can find out more by visiting our `Girls Night In` Open Evening on the 12th November.

The Spring Team
‘Waxing’ on the air waves.
Kerry and Joanne had the great pleasure of being invited to the Heart FM studio in Oxford to wax Giselle and Matt live on air. Giselle had never been waxed before, so Matt thought it would be a great idea to introducing it to her on live radio! Thinking that it wouldn’t be that painful...well, maybe a little, Matt went first to give Giselle an idea of what was to come. Kerry set about waxing his chest…he was so brave… NOT! He wailed like a baby! (Had a chest as smooth as a baby’s ‘bott` though!) Giselle was slightly apprehensive by this time but did let Kerry smooth the warm wax onto her near hairless shin. Next, we heard an almighty yelp nearly blowing the amplifiers. Sweat streaming from her brow and we hadn’t even removed one hair…..clearly, Giselle’s happier using a razor! We were all in stitches, tears of laughter running down our cheeks and hardily a coherent word said over the radio. We later found out that drivers where in hysterics just listening to them both in pain and some even had to pull over! What a fantastic experience on air - and Matt and Giselle were such fabulous Sports!

Breast Cancer awareness month.
On 3rd of October Witney launches its massive annual campaign to raise lots of money for Breast Cancer; we decide to join them for the first time in Bampton. When I suggested it to the Bampton Business Breakfast Club I was delighted to have such a positive interest by the Local shops and business. We put up pink balloons on our shop fronts and some wore pink attire to demonstrate their support. Collection boxes where distributed and we will be collected at the end of October. The total amount raised will be announced soon after.
